Xieng Mieng is the famous trickster and folk hero of Laos, who matches wits with the king and often wins -- quite a risky proposition in Xieng Mieng's time, much safer today.
For generations, tales of his exploits have been passed along. Xieng Mieng is clever and bold, and if he's sometimes also a bit lazy, that doesn't seem to hurt him.
