Throughout Laos women grow food, care for their families, and participate in community life. Often they do so while struggling against illness, and lacking even basic health information and medical resources.
Both women, and medical caregivers, will benefit from the information in this book. It covers women's reproductive systems; concerns of girls and young women; pregnancy; childbirth; and breastfeeding.
This book is adapted from parts of the highly-regarded guide, "Where Women Have No Doctor," published by the Hesperian Foundation.
