The Orphan and the King

Literacy doesn't mean much if there's nothing to read. And writing good books is difficult for people who never read a good book while growing up -- who, in fact, may never have seen a book at all.

As a result, much of our effort goes into helping young people to develop writing skills. Fairy tales are our most popular books for young readers, and also for new writers.

Sisawath spends most of his time at our rural book parties, getting kids exciting about reading. When he's back in the office, he writes. These three stories are his first collection, with three more coming soon.

If I'd known that princess would marry somebody poor, I would have tried my luck with her!
