As we've often done here, we gathered several of our young staff, who grew up without ever seeing any books such as these, and looked at books from other countries that make reading fun for children. Then they used those techniques -- rhymes, repetition, and humor -- to make a book that Lao children will enjoy, while improving their reading skills.
