Some of life's problems are big and difficult to fix. But many times, small and simple steps will improve our quality of life. This book highlights fifteen ways that we can improve our health and create better lives for ourselves and our families. In developed countries, often it's assumed that everyone knows these things. In Laos, much of this information is new to people in the countryside.
Several steps call attention to important nutrients: Vitamin A, iodine, and iron; and the importance of breastfeeding. Others focus on understanding and controlling the temptations of tobacco, alcohol and drugs. Yet others point out positive steps that families can take: reading together; limiting television.
