Food Origins

Five hundred years ago, your ancestors in Laos never saw a papaya or pineapple. At that time, those fruits grew only in the Americas.

Today, wherever you live, you probably eat food that had its earliest origins in many parts of the world. With a short text and varied pictures, this book not only tells about food origins, but touches on other subjects ranging from nutrition to geography to the rise of colonialism.
