Don't Return Evil For Evil

Long before books existed, each generation passed folktales down to their children. These stories provided evening entertainment, but also much more: They taught moral lessons.

This folktale from Nigeria tells of two girls who are the best of friends. But as they grow older and marry, jealousy drives them apart. One act of unkindness leads to another and the feud escalates, until they both realize that forgiveness is sometimes the wiser choice.
