Evaluation: We evaluate the impact of our reading program, by measuring the reading levels in each classroom of a school before, and after, we set up the program there. Then we compare that with the rate of improvement over the same period, in schools that did not yet get the reading program.

For our read-aloud testing, we use a popular Lao folktale: Phiiyamoi about a witch who, by the end of the story, is seen biting into a handful of intestines that once belonged to her husband's best friend. There's a moral: He got too greedy.
