Book party: Book parties are one way that Big Brother Mouse gets books to children in rural Lao villages. In primary schools we read from books, play games, sing songs, and have a drawing lesson. In high schools, we have a different set of activities. At the end, every student gets to choose a book, usually the first book they've ever owned. Then we give more to the school, for their library or classroom use.

This event was sponsored by Royce Mussman (United States). Thank you!

What animal are they imitating in the second picture? Here in the office, writing captions, we're not actually sure. The book party teams often try new ideas. The "Act like a monkey" game is pretty easy to recognize; perhaps this game was "Act like a duck." They clearly enjoyed it.
