Book party: Book parties are one way that Big Brother Mouse gets books to children in rural Lao villages. In primary schools we read from books, play games, sing songs, and have a drawing lesson. In high schools, we have a different set of activities. At the end, every student gets to choose a book, usually the first book they've ever owned. Then we give more to the school, for their library or classroom use.

This event was sponsored by Steven Wallace (Australia). Thank you!

Four years in a row, thanks to growing support, we've been able to add another book party team. Tavawn is one of this year's new recruits. He's reading aloud from The Orphan and the King, a collection of original fairy tales by Sipai, one of our staff writers.
