The best way to see our books, and to buy exactly what you want, is to visit one of our shops in Luang Prabang, Vientiane, or Luang Namtha. If you'd like 20 or more books, and do not need specific titles, we can ship them. Here's what to do. (All prices are in U.S. dollars)

Send an email telling us:

• how many books you want
• your address (and telephone, in Laos)
• shipping method
• criteria for selecting books

It's helpful to tell us who the books are for. (Lao children living abroad? Lao teenagers and adults? Non-Lao speakers who want to see what we're doing?) If there are specific titles you want, say so. We'll include them if they're still available.

Tell us any other guidelines for what to send, such as:

• Do you want as many different books as possible, or is it OK to send several copies of a title if that's the best way to stay within your other criteria?
• Do you want easy-to-read books, books for older readers, or a mix?
• Should we send only books with both Lao and English, or are books only in Lao OK? (Our list is currently about half-and-half. One has Hmong as well as Lao and English, and we expect to have more in future that include Hmong or Khmu languages.)
• Do you want mostly or only books that show Lao culture and life, or shall we also include translations from other cultures?

In Vientiane and Luang Prabang, Laos

You can come by our shop, pick out the books you want, and pay when you take them. For larger orders (200 or more), please contact us, and we can arrange delivery.

Within Laos, outside Vientiane and Luang Prabang: 20 book minimum order

If there is a direct bus from Vientiane or Luang Prabang to a town near you, we can put the books on the bus. You will need to pick them up when they arrive.

• 20-49 books: $1.50 per book plus $15
• 50-199 books: $1.20 per book plus $10
• 200 or more: $1.00 per book plus $10

Other countries: 20 book minimum order for all methods and destinations

Three shipping methods are available. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

DHL: Fastest, should arrive within 1 week maximum, with a refund if they do not arrive within 2 weeks (or we'll try again, if you prefer):

• THAILAND: $3.00 per book plus $10
• OTHER ASIAN COUNTRIES, AUSTRALIA, NZ: $3.00 per book plus $50
• EUROPE/AFRICA/AMERICAS: $3.00 per book plus $75

EMS: Should arrive in 1-2 weeks, with a refund if they do not arrive within 4 weeks (or we'll try again, if you prefer):

• THAILAND: $2.50 per book, no additional shipping
• OTHER ASIAN COUNTRIES, AUSTRALIA, NZ: $3.00 per book plus $30
• EUROPE/AFRICA/AMERICAS: $3.00 per book plus $35

Shipping Acknowledgement

We'll send an acknowledgement after we get your order. Usually this will come within a day, but we experience power failures, and problems with telephone lines and internet providers, more often than in the west, so in some cases it may take longer. If you haven't heard within a week, please email us again.
