"High school" in Laos is equivalent to grades 6 to 12, roughly ages 11 to 18. In addition, as more parents enrolled their children at our school every year, we couldn't expand it fast enough to keep up, so the new building also hold classrooms for grades 4 and 5, as well as storage space for our publishing work -- we converted our old warehouse, close to the city, into a school. Yes, it all fits -- the new building has 17 rooms on three-and-a-half floors.
NOTE: School visits suspended: With great regret, we have temporarily halted school visits, and our English conversation practice in the city, as long as the coronavirus presents so many unknown risks. We've left the descriptions below, and look forward to the time that we can again welcome visitors. If you're in Luang Prabang, please enjoy a day in the countryside with us! We provide lunch and transportation. (More about volunteering). Current details are always posted at our shop in Luang Prabang. |
