The joy of reading gets real
The Lao language is phonetic; the spelling of a word tells how to pronounce it. But there's a complication: Two or three vowels, each with their own sound, may create a new vowel when used together. Some children never get past that hurdle.
Earlier books taught the simple vowels, and provided practice with them. This book, the sixth in our "I Can Read" series, introduces two of the harder combinations, then provides fun practice with them.
