Rhymes that make reading fun
""Nu jao su" means "what a handsome mouse!" Feel free to say it as often as you like!"
Nyak mak pak. That means "The Giant Likes Vegetables," in Lao. Each page in this book features a very short sentence like that one, which includes two or three words that rhyme.
Just as repeating phrases will make a book appealing for new readers, repeating sounds work well for the very newest readers. Children will read this book again and again, laughing their way along as they learn the Lao alphabet.
