Dr. Dolittle in the South Atlantic
In the second Dr. Dolittle book, he goes to a remote island off the coast of South America inhabited by two primitive, warring tribes. Although primarily intended as an enjoyable story, the doctor's adventures also introduce some useful concepts: conflict versus cooperation, improving living standards with clean water and latrines, and the value of education.
