Bangkok Bob, the Inventor

Great inventors need creative genius and persistence. A solid moral foundation is always a good thing, too.

Bob brings all three together when he leaves his jungle for another visit to Bangkok. His friend, the Fruit Stand Woman, reads to him from a book about inventions. Then they get stuck in traffic, and Bob is inspired to achieve what others had declared impossible: He solves Bangkok's traffic problems.
